• Automatic detection of monitor profile via the Windows display "color management" tab with the option to synchronize/change the selection in Qimage.

• Floating text options expanded to allow duplication of text labels on multiple prints: See the "Link to" function on the floating text dialog. When deleting text labels, you can now choose to delete all identical labels as well. These two functions allow simple addition/deletion of floating text labels globally (to all prints at once).
• A workaround has been added to TIFF loading routines to allow loading of TIFF's that are missing the required "RowsPerStrip" tag, allowing 48 bit TIFF's from Sigma Photo Pro software to be loaded.

Note that "Med" and "High" quality settings will cause thumbnails to rebuild the first time you enter a folder with v2004.320 and thumbnail creation speed will be slower under the "Med" and "High" settings when compared to the "Low" setting on older versions.
• Updated the thumbnail scrolling so that one press of the arrow key or mouse wheel will result in the grid scrolling one full thumbnail.

• Thumbnail builder: modified the background thumbnail builder to be more compatible with certain utilities (such as virus scanning and firewall software) in order to improve reliability when using Qimage with system level scanning utilities.

• Layouts/page sets: improved the "layout: predefined page set" feature so that dragging/dropping files from other software and adding files from an IPTC search work properly with layouts.

• Updated IPTC library fixes a bug that was causing saved IPTC data to not show when IPTC data was subsequently viewed/edited.
• Fixed the "Display" text above the thumbnails so that it is easier to read when the thumbnail grid is selected.

• Number of prints and number of pages in the queue are always listed above the queue

• Added a warning message when using a layout/page set when the current paper size is too small for the layout.
• Improved the sizing methods so that sizes slightly larger than the current page size (up to 0.1 inch larger) are automatically sized to fit the page. The result is that users can select sizes such as 4x6 on 4x6 borderless paper without the "print is larger than one page" message and without getting multi-page posters even though most printers only print 3.9 x 5.9 to 3.99 to 5.99 on borderless 4x6 paper.
• Fixed a bug that was causing lockups/error messages when using the "Custom", "Layout" function immediately after loading printer settings.

• Improved the flash card copy/move and auto-rename functions so that duplicate files can be numbered starting with any [chosen] number.
• Improved the auto-rename function so that the auto-rename parameters pop up first, allowing you to change the renaming parameters.
• Added the ability to "Clear Folder History" via right click in the folder history dropdown.
• Fixed an issue where renaming from an upper case to lower case file extension (or vice versa) resulted in the extension repeating twice in the file name.
• Fixed an intermittent "access violation" error that resulted from using the "Save As" function from the batch filter and clicking "Cancel" before saving.

• Updated the "File", "Save As" function in the batch filter so that the resample option uses the currently selected interpolation method.
• Made a change to the "File", "Save Printer Setup" option so that "pyramid" interpolation method will be saved as part of the printer setup.
• Updated the "fit to page", "borderless", and "number of prints per page" custom print size options so that every pixel in the printer's printable area is utilized. Older versions sometimes rendered prints a few pixels short of a full page in width and/or height, especially when operating in metric mode.

• Added "copies of each page" information to the print log so that the log will indicate when multiple copies are selected on the print dialog.
• Moved the "building thumbs" progress meter from the top/main menu to just above the thumbnails so that it will not interfere with making menu selections while thumbnails are being built in the background.

• Contact sheets: added a new "Contact sheet w/info" option on the "Custom" size form for quick setup of contact sheets.
• Template positioning: improved the "template" positioning option so that template positions are "guaranteed" and do not change based on image aspect ratio.
• Image info option: improved the "info" option so that text info printed under pictures is automatically resized so that the minimal info (filename) is displayed, even under very small photos.
• Fixed a bug that related to changing page orientation (portrait/landscape) with an 8x10 print on the page.

• Lockups: fixed some potential lockups related to using "Template" placement or the "Contact sheet w/info" custom size in conjunction with full page prints.
• Batch filter: fixed the filter preview window in the batch filter so that right clicking in the preview window to re-center the crop does not require moving the mouse between clicks.
• Custom size enhancement: "template" placement is automatically selected when sizing by "number of prints per page" using the "Custom" size dialog.
• Custom size dialog: improved the custom size dialog to include hot keys and highlighted keywords for faster and easier selection of sizing method.

• Sessions: improved the "Load Session" option so that images that no longer exist (but are identified in the saved session) will not cause errors.
• Pyramid interpolation: slight reduction in memory overhead for pyramid interpolation (does not affect results).
• Page editor: replaced "cropping" and "size/loc." tabs with toggle buttons for better visibility.

• Fixed a "division by zero" error that appeared when using "Template" placement in conjunction with the "Original Size" sizing option.
• Fixed the "Save Filter" warning so that clicking "View", "Original" (or pressing Ctrl-O) will no longer bypass the warning message.

• Curves: Improved "curves" filter allows separate curves to be used for each of seven colors (R,G,B,Y,M,C, and neutral).
• Curves: New dropper on curves dialog sets points on curves and the color selection based on pixels in the image.
• Curves: Like the selective color filter, curves can now be saved/loaded independent of other filter parameters.
• Sel. Color: Dropper added to "Sel. Color" filter that underlines the color in the table based on pixels in the image.
• Curves/Sel. Color: Curves filter and "Sel. Color" filter can now be used together without one affecting color allocations (R,G,B,Y,M,C,N) of the other.
• Install: Changed the install application to include a prompt (Y/N) for installing a desktop icon.

• Fuji S2 raw: Re-enabled display of EXIF info for Fuji S2 RAF files.
• Curves filter: Fixed controls on the bottom of the "Curves" tab so that they are not truncated when using small fonts display.
• Curves filter: Fixed the clear curves "X" button so that it brings up the auto-preview (if auto-preview is enabled).

• File/thumb sorting: Improved name(+) and name(-) sorting methods so that numeric names sort like name1, name2, name10 instead of name1, name10, name2.
• Esc to cancel: You can now use the Esc key to cancel a print job in progress. Esc may also be used to cancel conversions from the queue.
• Print filters: Print filters now ignore all size-modifying filters such as cropping, rotation, and resampling to avoid unexpected results/errors.
• Names only view: Fixed a bug in the "names only" (file name) view so that right click options are available when only one file exists in the folder.
• Names only view: Added the [Template] entry so that it is now always visible when viewing file names only (without thumbs).
• Folder history: Fixed a minor display problem that was causing the folder name to disappear from the folder history dropdown under some conditions.
• Hot keys: Remapped some of the hot keys to more standard shortcuts like Ctrl-A to select all, Ctrl-P to print, Ctrl-Z for undo, F5 to refresh thumbnails, etc.

• Layout preview: Ability to preview layouts (page sets). Click "Custom", "Layout: predefined page set", click "OK" and on the "Open" window, highlight files and the layout will be displayed on the preview page on the main window as files are highlighted.
• Saving layouts: Qimage now defaults to saving files with a "tpl" extension when you create a document that contains only templates and you "save session", simplifying the process of creating your own layouts. Simply follow updated examples 9 & 10 in the help.
• "Edges" color: The color of the hairline border used when "Edges" is checked now corresponds to the currently selected border color in the "Prints" group.
• Page Editor: Fixed the size displayed on the "Cropping" tab in the page editor so that the size updates immediately when a new print is selected.
• Batch filter: Improved display of rotated images so that the "unrotated" image doesn't display before the rotated version.
• Batch filter: Fixed a problem where rotated images were not appearing rotated if a crop filter also existed for the same image.
• Esc key: Improved detection of the Esc key so that print processing doesn't stop prematurely.

Sample 1: Notice that in the original, the gray pelican and the water appear to have acceptable sharpness while the brighter colored flamingos appear blurred. The blurring is caused by the image sensor not having as many photo detectors recording information for that particular color. The grass in the background, while better than the flamingos, is also a little blurrier than the grays in the image. In the filtered photo on the right, the unsharp mask filter combined with the sharpness equalizer has brought the sharpness to a consistent level across the image. This consistency in sharpness makes the image look more "real".

Sample 2: Here is another example where sharpness has been "equalized" so that grays have the same apparent sharpness as areas with more color, such as skin tones.

• Improved the "exposure" filter so that the filter runs over 50% faster.
• Fixed one final/intermittent discrepancy between the preview window and full image when using the exposure filter in the batch filter window.
• Fixed an "invalid floating point operation" error that displayed on some machines when exiting the high precision cropping tool in the page editor.
• Eliminated the image crop inadvertently reappearing after using the "load curves" or "load selective color" function in the batch filter.

• Added the ability to select the background color for the full screen slide show. See "Settings", "Slide Show Options" for the Bkgd Color selection.
• Pressing the Esc key while in the high precision print cropping tool will now exit the high precision print cropping tool without making changes.
• Fixed an issue where image info and annotations were taking up too much space when selected print size + text size is larger than the current page.

• Enabled the "In Queue" checkbox from the batch filter so that images can be removed from the queue while using the batch filter. UNchecked images will be removed from the queue when the batch filter window is closed.

• Single level undo feature: Click "Edit", "Undo" to undo your last action taken [on the main window].
• "Send To" capability: After running v2004.106 the first time, you will have a Windows "Send To" menu entry for Qimage. Use "Send To" from other image file management utilities to send image files to Qimage (works even if Qimage is not already open).
• Drag/drop from other applications: Improved the drag/drop feature so that you can drag/drop files from another application directly onto the Qimage desktop icon (Qimage does not have to be open).
• Command line parameters: Qimage will now accept file names on startup for special purpose needs such as always starting Qimage with certain images in the queue, etc.
• Added a compatibility check on startup to ensure that the Qimage installation folder is "writeable" so that users know to install in a different folder.
• Fixed an issue where the print cropping tool was showing a distorted image if: (a) cropping an image that has auto-crop off, (b) "rotate" button is clicked on the cropping tool and (c) zoom lever at bottom position.

• Batch filter fixes:

• Fixed the blemish filter so that blemish correction works properly on rotated images.
• Fixed the display so that Ctrl-F and Ctrl-O functions do not distort images that have a rotation filter.
• Fixed the "Clear" button so that filter parameters are cleared properly when a rotation filter is active.

• Custom print sizes: Improved the "Custom" print size window to be more user friendly and to include a "borderless" option.
• Blemish correction tool: Blemish corrections may now be placed close together and may overlap without interfering with one another.
• Margins: "Page", "Margins" will now be saved/restored with "Save Printer Setup" and "Load Printer Setup".
• Main window: Improved resizing of the main window to account for "odd" screen resolutions/layouts.
• Quick edit: Removed "File", "Save As" from the "Quick Edit" filter dialog: "Save As" is not appropriate for quick edits.

• Custom print sizes: Added the ability to select auto-crop (on/off) from the custom sizes window.
• Full page editor improvements:

• Improved the print drag/drop selection tool to include a wider boundary border with corner "handles".
• Ability to select prints that are completely obscured by (underneath) other prints when working in "Freehand" mode.
• Enhanced right click drop down window now allows selection of standard print sizes, ability to change auto-crop (on/off), and new "bring to front" and "send to back" functions. Auto-crop menu selection shows what the resulting sizes will be with crop on and crop off before you make the change, for example, 4 x 6 with crop on, 4 x 5.33 with crop off.
• Fixed a page display issue that caused prints (or floating text) to appear in the wrong location if also using "Img. Info" or "Text Annotation".

• Parameter reset options: Added new reset options under "Help" to allow resetting the print driver or color management settings independently.
