• New manual crop icon on prints helps to quickly identify prints that have a manual crop (via the cropping tool in the page editor).
• Added the rendering intent and status of black point compensation to the "Prtr ICC" line on the main window.
• Fixed the "Cancel" button on the "Prints", "Print Interpolation" window so that change of interpolation method can be canceled.

• Improved thumbnail refresh to ensure that thumbnails redraw completely after opening/closing other windows on top of Qimage.

• Qimage will now automatically use the proper color space from original images downloaded from your camera using [EXIF] information stored in the images.  This feature is particularly handy if you have a digital SLR with a "color space" custom setting because Qimage will now be able to detect whether the camera was set to sRGB or Adobe RGB, allowing the proper assignment of input color space automatically.
• Fixed the "Browse the TO folder after copy/move" feature on the "Flash Card Copy/Move" dialog so that Qimage automatically browses the destination folder after the copy/move is completed.

• Modified the input ICC profile table so that entries in the table will override embedded EXIF sRGB/aRGB tags but not real embedded profiles.
• Modified the input ICC profile table so that output profiles (such as printer profiles) cannot be enabled.
• Improved the ICC profile selection dialog so that only appropriate profiles are displayed: monitor profiles if changing the monitor ICC, printer profiles if changing the printer ICC, etc.

• Posters can now be printed to file and an image will be generated for each poster page.  Example: mypage(1,1).jpg, mypage(2,1).jpg, etc.

• Ability to create and use layouts with a mix of templates and images.  While previous versions only supported templates and no "real" images in layouts, v2005.305 will allow you to mix templates and real images so that images such as signatures and copyrights can be included along with the template placeholders in your layout.
• When using multiple layouts and changing layouts in the middle of a document, Qimage no longer rewinds to the first page of the document but instead forwards to the end of the document where the new layout was just loaded for convenience.

• Improved color management logic for images with EXIF headers (but no embedded profile) so that Qimage picks the proper profile in more cases than before by detecting when images are from the original (camera) versus having been been modified and resaved.
• Added a checkbox on the "Settings", "Color Management" window to enable/disable EXIF color space detection for specialized needs.
• Improved all tool buttons by making the tool tips display faster.
• Corrected a bug that was causing the preview page to turn black if the tool button for page background color was clicked followed by "Cancel".

• Improved compatibility for 64 bit processors running D.E.P. (Data Execution Prevention), eliminating startup crashes on those configurations.
• Enabled the "print to file" feature on the print driver dialog so printer data can be sent to file for specialized processing.  Note that this feature is not related to Qimage's "File", "Print To", "File" feature since the "print to file" option in the print driver simply reroutes the printer data (print commands) that are going to your printer to a file instead.  The print to file function in the print driver would only be used in special circumstances when using RIPs or other third party printing software.

• Fixed a problem that was causing occasional errors/crashes after selecting a new folder while the thumbnail builder was working on the current folder.
• Fixed a bug that was causing a "corrupted ICC profile" error message for images saved from PhotoShop with an embedded profile.

• Eliminated a problem where certain types of corrupted TIFF files could cause a crash.

• Fixed a bug that was causing the "Save As" function in the batch filter to save with a crop even if no crop was selected.
• Fixed a bug that was causing borders to get copied onto other images in the queue when rotating images, changing size, etc.

• Corrected a problem that was causing prints with a defined print crop to not rotate properly when manually rotating prints.
• Improved refresh of the main window so that thumbnails are refreseshed properly after closing other windows on top.
• Eliminated an extra confirmation popup dialog that was displaying when deleting floating text using the page editor.
• Added code to detect when images have been resaved with old EXIF information so that images do not double-rotate when resaved by some photo editors.

• Fixed a bug that was causing subsequent copies of the same image to print with less sharpness than the first copy.
• Fixed a problem that was causing near-square images to rotate when placed on templates even if the image lock was turned on.
• Improved the download function on the "Help", "About" window to distribute load between the main and mirror sites to avoid web traffic problems.

• Improved the flash card auto-detection so that insertion of a camera memory card is detected automatically on a wider range of card readers.
• Greater stability is achieved by automatically detecting when an in-use file is deleted via another program like Explorer.
• Corrected floating text alignment so that text aligns properly when rotated 270 or -270 degrees (as opposed to -90 or 90 degrees).
• Improved print driver error/fault detection to better support specialized print drivers like the IBM AFP drivers that allow "page segments".

• Fixed a problem with the new flash card auto-detection that was causing sluggish performance on some systems with v2005.201.
• Option to remember the print-to-file output folder is now in the print-to-file dialog.
• Fixed a bug where the "cancel" option was not working on the print-to-file dialog after the first use, and when "auto naming" was selected.
• Changed the default thumbnail folder to the "My Pictures" folder (if it exists) when starting Qimage in safe mode or error recovery mode.

• Removed the flash card auto-detection function as there is no reliable way to detect when a flash card is inserted on all Windows operating systems. Removing this function will improve stability and will still allow detection of the flash card/images folder when the flash card copy/move button is clicked.
• Swapped the order of precedence of the print filter and the ICC profile so that the print filter is applied before the ICC profile (application of the ICC profile is the last step in the printing process). This prevents the ICC profile from being completely overridden when print filters such as a B/W filter are applied.
• Fixed a minor issue that was causing the print-to-file dialog to not remember the last output folder if that folder was on a different drive than the thumbnails.

• Added a sepia filter to the list of predefined filters.

• The folder browser panel no longer steals focus from other applications when the mouse pointer is moved over the folder browser.
• Corrected a problem that was allowing opening/viewing of images in the thumbnail grid while performing web/email conversions.

• Fixed an inconsistency between on screen views such as full screen view (space bar), soft proof, and the preview/add function when viewing images with an associative filter versus images with the same filter that have been resaved with the filter applied. The problem only affected on screen views where images had to be downsized before display: did not affect printing, the image examiner, or the image comparator, and only appeared when using single-pixel-level filters like unsharp mask, regular sharpening, and noise filters.
• Fixed the "original size" sizing function so that it works properly when the size is encoded as pixels/cm (rather than pixels/in).
• Fixed an "access violation" error caused by the dark frame filter.

QTR users note: If you are a QTR user, please be sure to download the latest profiles from the QTR web site. Note that while Qimage now accepts grayscale profiles, we recommend that QTR users continue to use the "QTR RGB" profiles rather than the "QTR Gray" profiles simply because Qimage still saves files in the RGB format. Use of RGB profiles will avoid issues with "invalid embedded profile" errors in other software due to gray profiles being embedded in RGB encoded images. With v2005.118, QTR users will now get the same results when using either set of profiles ("QTR RGB" or "QTR Gray") and the results will now match results from the same/compatible workflow in PhotoShop.

• Help/About: About window now centers on screen instead of desktop for ease of use on dual monitor systems.

• The mouse wheel now works to go forward/back pages when the mouse pointer is over the preview page on the main window or when using the full page editor. The mouse wheel can now also be used to zoom in/out when viewing an image (or images) in the examiner/comparator.
• Ctrl-S function added to the image comparator for the purpose of swapping back and forth to view subtle changes.
• The appearance of the button for page background color has been improved.
• Fixed a bug that was causing filters from previous images in the queue to "leak" into subsequent filtered images when converting from the queue and also using the "add to/replace existing filters" option.
• Fixed a bug that was causing TIF files to save at 75 PPI instead of the specified page resolution when printing to file without a printer ICC profile active.
