The venerable 950 actually does a bit better on color accuracy than the newer 990 model. Blues are not as "shifted" toward purple with the 950, but unfortunately the phenomenon is still present to some degree. This plugin also makes CP950 greens look a bit more natural and brightens the skies and other blue shades. Like the 990, we found that the 950 undersaturated blues, possibly to compensate for noise in the blue color channel.

NOTE: This is the first release of the CP950 plugin. We have confirmed color accuracy for daylight and flash photos. We believe that this plugin will work for all CP950 images, however, please note that at this time, the current plugin has not been tested under all shooting/camera conditions.

NOTE REGARDING NOISE: Due to the relatively high level of noise present in some CP950 images, the Qimage Pro CP950 plugin may produce images that have more visible noise than the originals. Although generally not noticable in most images, some profiled images may appear noisier in shadows than originals from the camera. For these images, we recommend using the Qimage "Shadow Noise Filter" in combination with the plugin.
