Released years ago as the first "real" prosumer digital SLR, the Olympus D-600L is still highly regarded today. Although 1.3 megapixels is not considered high resolution any more, images produced by the D-600L are noise free and have exceptional dynamic range. Driven more by the prosumer market, this camera does not tend to oversaturate colors as much as some point and shoot digicams, which made this camera easier to profile than some. The main differences that you will notice using the D-600L Color Profile Plugin are in skin tones and shades of green and yellow. The D-600L is known for producing extremely warm (red) skin tones. In addition, greens are a bit oversaturated and shifted toward blue. Both are popular things to do on non-pro digicams because warm skin tones tend to make subjects appear to have more color and oversaturated greens tend to give foliage a more lush or "alive" feel. When comparing originals with color profiled images in a side-by-side fashion as above, however, it becomes readily apparent which images are more accurate (more closely reproduce the original scene). If you focus on the profiled skin tones above for a few seconds for example, and then switch to the original on the left, you'll see how skin tones look almost sunburned in the originals.
