Qimage Raw Photo Quality

Qimage Studio Raw Photo Benefits

When working with raw photos, Qimage Studio Edition is able to meet or exceed the quality of other raw developing tools automatically!  For the vast majority of photos, you will never need to touch the raw file to make the most of them as you would in many other raw developing tools.  No more staring at histograms and exposure warnings trying to get the exposure just right: Qimage does this automatically.  Of course, photographic "mistakes" like improper white balance or exposure can be corrected with the simple "Refine Raw Exposure" function in Qimage, but for those shots that are properly balanced, you can work with your raw files as if they were already developed, cutting out the extra step of tweaking and developing.  Qimage's real-time raw processing tools give you the ability to work with raw photos just like any other image type such as JPEG or TIFF.

Qimage and Lightroom 2.0 Beta samples

Check out some examples below comparing Qimage v2008.219 with Adobe Lightroom 2.0 Beta.  Note that with manual tweaking in Lightroom, you can achieve results similar to the Qimage automatic result.  The purpose of this section is to show how Qimage can achieve superior quality without having to manipulate the raw photo.  A note about raw workflows: while most raw tools are designed from the standpoint of "show me what I shot and let me tweak it", Qimage is designed to "show me the best you can do with my shot and I'll make minor adjustments when necessary".  Invariably, some will still prefer all the manual controls available in other raw tools while others will appreciate what can be done automatically in Qimage.  Comparing the two is like comparing manual and automatic transmissions, so we're not trying to "convert" people or prevent people from using full featured raw developing tools.  On the contrary: we're simply trying to give people a (workflow) option that has, until now, been difficult to achieve: that of simple, automatic raw photo processing.
