Mike. In this post:
http://ddisoftware.com/tech/qimage-ultimate/16-bit-printing/
You said, "...I have no plans to support it until Windows supports native 16 bit printing. 16 bit editing/manipulation: that's a different story..."
I understand that Windows 10 now supports 16 bit printing and the Canon Pro-x000 series provides a driver for it.
Do you have plans to now support this?

Windows does not support native 16 bit printing to standard Windows printer drivers. It supports creation of XPS files that can then be read by compatible XPS printer drivers which, as of now, there are only a few. The XPS file format equates to basically creating a PDF-like file structure. Since I must support all printers/models, I won't be transitioning to the XPS printing workflow unless/until printer manufacturers start supplying XPS drivers for all printers.
Given that Qimage Ultimate is already able to get 16 bit/channel shades from existing tested and mature 8 bit drivers anyway, I'm not in a rush to support XPS printing when only a few printer models support that methodology at this time.
Regards,
Mike
