Are you using Qimage to decode raw NEF images from a Nikon D1?

If you are new to Qimage, please take a moment to read these tips, which will help you quickly and easily identify the most efficient means with which to deal with Nikon D1 NEF files in your professional workflow.


Important message for those with DELL computers and/or STB video cards

If your PC is equipped with an STB video board, please ensure that you have the latest driver from STB. Early versions of the driver (particularly those supplied with most DELL computers) may not display images properly when running Qimage. If you experience any problems displaying images in Qimage (fragmented images, horizontal or vertical lines, smearing effects, etc), simply come back to this page and download/install the latest driver by clicking the link below. Note: the link takes you to the STB site. We do not recommend using the drivers at the DELL site because they are not necessarily the latest versions.

If you're still getting garbled thumbnails or images, try this tip:

If you have obtained the latest driver and are still having problems, try this helpful tip. Click "Start", "Control Panel". Next, double click on "System", "Performance", "Graphics". Next, under "Advanced Graphics Settings", move the "hardware accelerator" pointer two positions to the left. The description will say "Basic accelerator functions...". Finally, click "Ok" and restart your computer.
